We can live with an expectant hope while we wait for our sorrows to be soothed, our every ache met with mercy and our every hunger filled. Because of Jesus, we can live open-handedly with an eye out for the good that is coming our way; we can let every ache deepen our hunger. Hunger for more is not our enemy. It is a friend beckoning us onward to faith, to trust that in the waiting our souls are being enlarged for the holy and good purposes of God.
